DIY your Band Photos, Videos, and Website
When I first started playing live regularly, our band realized people were looking to book us for shows and didn't know how to find us. We setup a social media page to start (Myspace, remember that one?), but soon understood that a branded website might be more useful to our cause.
In the following year, I learned a lot about photo, video, & audio editing, website design, and more. It became an extremely useful skillset that I still use to this day.
While you absolutely can hire somebody to do all of the "marketing" work to help promote your act, most of it is not terribly hard to do and if you're willing to learn, you can save time and money by doing things yourself.
In this week's video, we talk about several tools that can help you design and build your own brand online that will match the energy of your live show!
